By the way this ends my trilogy of movie related posts. I hope.
Lord Of The Rings: cleansweep.

nuff said.
Con movies, confidence plays. Con artists, grifters, scammers...whatever. Con movies kick ass. In the last week I've watched matchstick men and confidence both excellent flicks. I've decided based on their strengths, albeit their endings are both kind of weak well more weird the weak but yeah, but based on their strengths I've decided that can movies are where its at. And you could write one ripped from the headlines in the last two months BC civil servants go down for organised crime/mob connections plus two multi-million dollar marijuana busts one in Ontario one in Alberta, the Gia-cant-remember-his-name sponsorship scandal. Ok so I'm not sure how they are linked but I bet their cons, I feel conned well not really none of the $250million was mine, and the timing right before the election I think we were being conned those whole time and the opposition was holding their cards until a more lucrative time to play the hand. If this is true it makes me mad. The innocent voters getting played by democracy. Well they aren't innocent they're voting but still. There is a flaw in democracy and it lies in the thirst for power the need to be re-elected the need to BE elected this leads to compromised ideals and flawed morals when in theory democracy leads to what's best for the people. Alas I'm impotent and underage so I can't even vote about it and it is the next best thing....Next best to what you ask and to that I have no answer that's why I'm gonna just shutup now. till next time. enjoy.

So The Passion of The Christ came out a few days ago. I feel obliged to see it not because I'm religious or a big fan of Mel Gibson's but instead because the pomp, ceremony and controversy the media hype make me feel like this is important and somethine I MUST see. This is not at all where i am in my headspace right now...i dont need thinking gore i need insipid escapism. Escapism. Oh well I'm going to have to settle for what's out there...alternately I could go and see Broken Lizard's Club Dread...but if there needs to be blood I'de rather it be meaningful. I need to save my money anyways.

"i will be your ambulance if you will be my accident; i will be your screeching crash if you will be my crutch and cast; i will be your one more time if you will be my one last chance"---from TV On The Radio's song Ambulance.

I would like to go to Brooklyn, or Greenwich Village or Manhattan hell Queens would do. In case your geography aint quite up to scratch... I would like to go to New York City. That cosmopolitan metropolis. A city with nearly as many people as Canada. So yeah if you want to help out get in touch send some cash. Send me to Nueva York. Thanks.
Posting today. Wish I knew better how to manipulate this here blog. Spent a weekend at a High School Model UN. A bizarre experience. An melting pot of 15-18 year olds thrown together and told to think. Some were bright, others not so; some revelled in the glory of public speaking, others shied away from even the most private conversations; some made exquisite works of art, some doodled primitive scribbles; some worked, others payed no attention whatsoever. It was pretty cool. We the delegation from Ghana were surprisingly outspoken, I'm curious as to how closely we followed our foreign policy. Shrug.

It's been a long hiatus and much has happened. It's really nice outside.
